Amy Moore - Director
Amy has been a special education teacher for over 10 years. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts and Master’s of Arts in Special Education at Portland State University. She has worked with students who have mild to moderate learning differences in academic and life skills areas, in both public and private schools. She is currently working on her school administration license at the University of Portland and will finish in August, 2017.
Ananda Osterhaus - Business Manager
Ananda was raised in Ashland, Oregon and then moved to Portland, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting from Portland State University. After graduation, a senior internship at Puppet Labs, an Oregon-based IT configuration software company, turned into a full time position in the accounting department. In 2013, she moved to the northern Oregon coast to start a family with a born-and-raised Cannon Beach local and quickly fell in love with her new community. She put her career on hold to raise her young daughter, but was very excited at the opportunity to rekindle her business mind and help Cannon Beach reinvest in the local youth with The Cannon Beach Academy.
Leticia Campos - ELD Teacher, Spanish Teacher, and Co-Teacher
Leticia is a Seaside High School graduate and has been working in the Seaside School District as an ELD teacher assistant and interpreter since 2005. She recently completed her Master’s Degree in Education at Portland State University.
Dawn Jay - Kindergarten Teacher
Dawn had always wanted to be a teacher and so after raising her family she went back to school. After obtaining her undergraduate degree from Western Oregon University and her Masters in Elementary Education from Concordia University, Dawn worked as a substitute teacher, teaching grades kindergarten through 6th grade. Along with her Masters in Elementary Education Dawn has a minor in psychology and is currently working on her English Language Learner certification.
Ryan Hull has an undergraduate degree in theater from Rollins College, Masters Degree in elementary education from Brooklyn College. He founded a non-profit theater company in NY and taught music in NY City schools for 3 years. Ryan was an adjunct professor at Clackamas Community College, and Principal and teacher at Arthur Academy Public Charter Schools. Ryan moved to Cannon Beach 2012 and co-owned a small business; he is an actor and director at the Coaster Theater and served as a member of the board for the Cannon Beach Children’s Center. He recently joined the Cannon Beach Academy and is excited to be back in the education field.
